Welcome to Storyo! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Storyo website and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Storyo ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

Storyo is an AI-powered platform that allows users to create personalized cartoon videos for children. Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate animated content based on user inputs, including text descriptions and uploaded photographs.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3. Credits and Payments

Our Service operates on a credit-based system:

• New users receive 80 free credits upon registration
• Credits are used to generate video content (10 credits per 8-second video clip)
• Additional credits can be purchased through subscription plans or one-time top-ups
• Subscription credits roll over month-to-month while your subscription is active
• Upon subscription cancellation, remaining credits expire 30 days after the cancellation date
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes

4. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital content generation:

• Credits used for video generation are non-refundable
• Unused credits from subscription plans may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no credits have been used
• Top-up credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been added to your account
• If you experience technical issues that prevent video generation, please contact us for credit restoration

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you provide to our Service, including:

• Photographs you upload
• Story descriptions and prompts you provide
• Character names and details

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of generating your requested videos. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

6. Generated Content

Videos generated through our Service:

• Are created using AI technology and may not be perfect
• Are provided for personal, non-commercial use
• May be used by you for sharing with family and friends
• Should not be used for commercial purposes without our written consent

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Create content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for children
• Upload photographs of individuals without their consent (or parental consent for minors)
• Generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit our AI systems
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Review and moderate content generated through our Service
• Refuse to generate content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies
• Report illegal content to appropriate authorities

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality, is owned by Storyo and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Generated videos will meet your specific expectations
• AI-generated characters will perfectly match uploaded photographs
• The Service will be available at all times

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Storyo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
